If you have personally experienced the life changing effects of cancer or know someone who has, then you understand the importance of healing and you understand how difficult life beyond cancer may prove to be. Indeed, for many cancer survivors, the healing process is an uphill battle.

While there are numerous organizations around the world commissioned to support cancer survivors, we would like to highlight a very special one, Yoga Bear.

Yoga Bear is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide cancer survivors with additional opportunities for health and wellness through the practice of yoga. Yoga Bear is a network of over 120 yoga studios nationwide which donate memberships to survivors of cancer. Therefore, all yoga classes are absolutely FREE for participants. How cool is that? Survivors can apply online to receive free passes to a partner studio in their area.

To date, Yoga Bear has helped hundreds of cancer survivors reclaim their well being and livelihoods. Yoga has provided much needed peace of mind and has greatly assisted in managing symptoms of cancer such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, and pain. Listen to a testimonial below:

If you would like to support Yoga Bear in their mission of helping cancer survivors reclaim their lives, consider a donation.

This is a really cool idea! I know so many people who have had cancer, including my sister. It turns out that medical expenses prohibit survivors from doing many things that could be beneficial, like yoga. Glad to hear there are people out there who care and are addressing this issue!!
