Nominate a Minnesotan for the 2010 Engaged Philanthropist Award

With only one week left for nominations the Minnesota Community Foundation and Social Venture Partners Minnesota are wrapping up their search for the top philanthropist in Minnesota. The honor of being the top giver in the land of 10,000 lakes is in the form of the Engaged Philanthropist Award and honors exemplary social investors. Keep reading for more information on the award and nomination rules.

Purpose of the Engaged Philanthropist Award

The Engaged Philanthropy Award was created to recognize Minnesota’s most innovative and effective engaged philanthropists and promote philanthropy in Minnesota.

Nominations and More about the Award

You can nominate individuals whose exemplary practice of engaged philanthropy has had a transformative impact on their community through his or her work with one or more nonprofit Minnesota 501(c)3 organizations. The winner will receive their award at the June 17, 2010 Engaged Philanthropy Conference. The winner designates a cash award of $2,500 to the Minnesota based 501(c)3 organization of his or her choice, will be highlighted in a video at the conference and will receive a commemorative plaque.
