
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the guest of honor and deliver the keynote address at the American Pakistan Foundation’s Inaugural Benefit on Friday, December 11, 2009 at Cipriani in New York City.
The Secretary will speak about the U.S. government’s commitment to a strengthened partnership with the Pakistani American community for a stable and prosperous Pakistan. Former Secretary of State General Colin Powell (USA) Ret. and Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Moeen Qureshi will serve as honorary co-chairs of the inaugural benefit and the Foundation.
Founded and led by Pakistani-Americans at a critical moment in Pakistan’s history, the American Pakistan Foundation (APF) is dedicated to improving the social and economic condition of the people of Pakistan.
APF’s mission is to expand development initiatives in education, public health, social entrepreneurship, poverty-alleviation, and culture, with a vision to advance mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and Pakistan.
