The partner column with Ashoka’s Change Insight blog continues. Lot’s of great things happening in the world of #SocEnt with TED2010. Here are the highlights:
TED2010 Day 1: Mindshift, Discovery, Action and #SocEnt
The first day of TED2010 was full of mirror-smashing ideas. You learned a little about yourself in the first session, a little about the world in the second session and how you can do your part in the third and final session of the day. I’m covering all the action live on my Twitter account (@writerpollock) and following up with posts after each day. Find them all at SocialEarth.org.
The Food That’s Killing Our Children
For the first time, today’s generation of children is expected to have shorter lives than their parents. Obesity-related diseases rank as among the top culprits behind the trend, and are the top three killers in the country today, costing us over $150 billion a year to treat. Nathaniel Whittemore tells us more.
The Essence of the #NedSoc Social Entrepreneurship Unconference
Five days after the unconference ended I’m still feeling the effects. Every person that attended, I met. And not only met, but had a quality conversation with. Read the rest of my experience and check out the notes of each break-out session.
