
In the third week of the Summer of Social Good campaign, two new exciting initiatives were launched; Promotion for Donation, and #Teams4Good.
The Promotion for Donation is this week only and offers donors a unique channel to promote their brand. Individuals or organizations which donate $20 or more to Summer of Social Good this week will be featured in a blog post at the end of the week on Mashable.com and their donation with be retweeted by @socialgood on Twitter. With close to 5 million hits per month, a blog post on Mashable featuring your organization could be very beneficial. Here is the breakdown of the promotion you will receive based on your donation (source: Mashable):
$20 – $99 Donation: Tweet that you’ve donated and @socialgood will retweet you. Mashable will also include your avatar and link to your Twitter account (or Facebook Fan Page or LinkedInprofile) on Friday’s Post.

$100+ Donation: Tweet that you’ve donated and @socialgood will retweet you. Mashable will also include your avatar and link to your Twitter account (or Facebook Fan Page or LinkedIn profile) on Friday’s Post. In addition, you’ll receive prominent placement on the post and you can include up to 3 social profile URLs or links you are looking to promote.

$2,000 Donation: In addition to the above, Mashable will also give you 1 week of 125×125 advertising to be used any time between now and December 31st, 2009 (subject to availability).

The #Teams4Good initiative is organized to find the number one fundrasing team on the web. The Summer of Social Good will leverage the GlobalGiving platform to setup a competition between 10 teams to see who can raise the most amount of money for the Summer of Social Good fund . The 10 teams will be announced this Friday and will have until August 28th to gather funds from family and friends. If you’re interested, check out the application here.
The prize for the winning team is a choice between:
- 2 VIP tickets and $500 reimbursement for travel expenses to the August 28th Social Good Conference in NYC

- A 32GB iPod Touch
*Winning team must raise minimum of $5,000 to be eligible for prize.
