We’re excited to announce the the launch of our new video library, SocialEarth:Video, a rich media channel featuring over a hundred videos which cover an array of issues within the social entrepreneurship field. Listen to speakers from Mohammad Yunus to Jacqueline Novogratz and browse topics from Green to Microfinance. SocialEarth:Video is a simple, user friendly platform to disseminate knowledge that really matters. Learn about the work of Ashoka Fellows as they lift millions out of poverty or spend a few minutes being inspired by a TED talk from Nicholas Negroponte on the One Laptop Per Child Program.
Videos are a powerful method of sharing inspiration, courage and wisdom. With the launch of SocialEarth:Video, we hope to provide a platform which inspires, educates and encourages social entrepreneurs and anyone interested in making a positive difference in our world.

SocialEarth:Video was created with an emphasis on viewing experience and is therefore designed to highlight each featured video while ensuring all secondary content is peripheral. Beyond viewing, users will be able to rate videos, add comments and propel discussion. Additional features to enhance user interaction are expected to follow in the coming weeks and months.
Also, if you’re on Twitter, we’re starting a new hashtag, #v4change (Videos for change). If you have a video that promotes social change, please append this hashtag to your tweets. Thanks to #m4change (mobile for change) for the model!

I teach social enterprise at The New School and am delighted to see more and more multimedia available. I’m hoping social entrepreneurs, nonprofits and for profits reading this will take a survey about the resources they use. The more people who take the survey the more accurate and useful the results. http://bit.ly/yV2GF. Results will be shared for FREE.
